Interest expressed in Montenegro as an investment destination 

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Companies from Luxembourg are interested in the projects dealing with environmental protection, sustainable development and wastewater treatment in Montenegro, it was concluded today at a meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro and their colleagues from the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade and the Union of Employers of Luxemburg. 

The Government announced that Minister of Finance Igor Luksic and his deputy Milorad Katnic met with Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade of Luxembourg Jeannot Krecke, and representatives of the Union of Employers of that country. 

The improvement of economic cooperation between the two countries was discussed at the meeting, and the experiences and opinions were exchanged on the current economic situation and prospects of the countries in the context of the future cooperation to be established through the European Union committees. 

They expressed their readiness to continue exchanging experience and know-how, while the Government of Luxembourg showed interest in providing technical assistance to the Government of Montenegro in modelling technology parks, improving its business climate, and promoting its private sector.

“The interest was expressed in the projects dealing with environmental protection, sustainable development, and wastewater treatment in Montenegro, given that the companies involved in these fields in Luxembourg have innovative technology available,” it is specified in a press release.
